The 67th General Committee meeting of the South Indian Actors Association was held at the Kamarajar Arena in Thenampet, Chennai. General Secretary Vishal, Treasurer Karthi, and Vice President Poochi S. Murugan were present. Vishal obtained approval for past administrative activities, securing a bank loan for a new building, raising funds from stars, and organizing performances, along with outlining future plans. Nassar discussed the association’s activities and future goals. Nassar, Poochi S. Murugan, Vishal, and Karthi assured reporters that they had fulfilled their election promises. The actor’s union is nearing completion of its new building, which was delayed due to elections, associated problems, and the COVID-19 pandemic. To secure funding, the union has received approval to take a bank loan of up to ₹40 crore. They are raising funds from prominent actors and actresses and planning a star performance to repay the loan. Currently, there are no funds available for emergency assistance, including medical aid, for union members. However, the union provides personal assistance to actors in need. The new building is expected to be completed by next year, and the next session will take place there.
