Bihar’s Caste-Wise Census Reveals Alarming Reality: One-Third of Population Struggling in Poverty

According to the latest caste-wise census data, one-third of Bihar’s population is grappling with poverty, revealing a stark reality for a significant portion of the state’s inhabitants. The census further indicates a significant increase in the number of Scheduled Castes, now comprising 43.93% of Bihar’s population. However, the educational disparity remains concerning, with only 7% of Scheduled Castes being graduates. Additionally, a staggering 96% of them do not have own vehicles, underscoring the economic challenges faced by a substantial portion of the state’s population.
