ADMK’s MP C.V. Shanmugam Appeared in the Court for 3rd Time Amidst Chief Minister Defamation Allegations

In the ongoing defamation case against ADMK’s former minister, CV Shanmugam MP, he appeared for the third time in Villupuram court. The charges stem from alleged defamatory remarks made during the AIADMK general meeting on March 7th, 2023, in Nattarmangalam near Senji, and the AIADMK program on March 10th in the Auroville area of Villupuram district. Public Prosecutor Subramanian presented two separate defamation cases in the Villupuram District Principal Sessions Court, accusing Shanmugam of tarnishing the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Chief Minister’s reputation. During the hearing before Presiding Judge Venkatesan, Shanmugam personally appeared, while Advocate Subramanian represented the state’s interests. The proceedings were adjourned to December 21st for further arguments and deliberations.
