Chennai Begins Underground Sewage Project in Three Zones After Minister’s Foundation Stone Ceremony. The initiative, including pipeline laying in Madhavaram, Manali, and Shollinganallur, will bring long-awaited sewage connections to residents after 13 years. The project at Shollinganallur will see 21 kilometers of sewer pipes laid, costing ₹78.58 crore. Five sewage pumping stations and two treatment plants will be built, benefiting over 50,000 people and curbing sewage overflow issues.
