India Firmly Dismisses China’s Objection to PM Modi’s Visit to Arunachal Pradesh

India firmly rejected China’s objection to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Arunachal Pradesh, asserting that the state “was, is, and will” always be an integral part of India. External affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that China has been informed of this consistent position on numerous occasions. Jaiswal emphasized that objections to such visits by Indian leaders or developmental projects in the region are unfounded, maintaining that Arunachal Pradesh’s status as an integral part of India remains unchanged despite China’s claims. China routinely protests against Indian leaders’ visits to Arunachal Pradesh, which it claims as South Tibet, but India stands firm on its sovereignty over the region.
