Nepal’s PM ‘Prachanda’ to Seek Vote of Confidence Today

In Kathmandu, Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as ‘Prachanda’, will seek a vote of confidence in Parliament today. This follows his recent alliance shift from the Nepali Congress to the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). Prachanda, a former guerrilla leader representing the third-largest party in the House of Representatives, is required to prove his majority after losing support from the Nepali Congress, the largest party in the House.
