Kejriwal Challenges Summons in Excise Scam Case, Takes Case to Sessions Court

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has challenged a summons issued to him by a lower court in New Delhi. The summons relate to complaints from the Enforcement Directorate regarding alleged evasion of summons in a money laundering case linked to the excise scam. Kejriwal’s petition has been filed in a sessions court, with Additional Sessions Judge Rakesh Syal expected to consider it later today. The lower court, under Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra, had directed Kejriwal to appear before it on March 16th.
