MEA: PM Modi’s Bhutan Visit Postponed Due to Weather, Rescheduling Underway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to Bhutan, scheduled for March 21st-22nd, has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions at Paro airport. The Ministry of External Affairs announced that new dates are being coordinated between the two sides through diplomatic channels. This delay comes amidst India’s ‘Neighbourhood First Policy’. Bhutanese Prime Minister Tobgay recently concluded a five-day visit to India, marking his first foreign trip since taking office in January, during which he held significant meetings including with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi.
