Sabarmati-Agra Express Derailment Investigation Blames Driver for Ignoring Red Signal

A preliminary investigation into the derailment of the Sabarmati-Agra Superfast Express near Ajmer has revealed that the locomotive pilot overshot a red signal, leading to a collision with two rear wagons of a freight train. The incident occurred on Monday near Ajmer station, causing four coaches of the passenger train bound for Agra to derail. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported. According to the joint probe report signed by seven experts, train number 12458 departed from Ajmer at 00:50 and, while approaching Madar station, collided with the freight train’s rear wagons due to the signal oversight.
