Election officials seize lots of gifts given to voters in Karnataka

During the Karnataka Lok Sabha election period, candidates are distributing innovative products like digital wristwatches, Android TVs, and digital wall clocks to voters. In the lead-up to the first phase of elections on the 26th, candidates are both filing petitions and actively providing free items to voters. Election officials have confiscated items worth 187 crores, including sarees, suddars, liquor, and scented gutka products, in raids across the state. The flying squad officers have intensified vehicle checks as modern electronic devices intended for voters, such as digital TVs and wristwatches, are being hoarded.
