PM Modi Slams Congress-DMK Alliance, Alleges Corruption and Lack of Transparency in Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress and its ally, the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu, accusing them of keeping the country uninformed on issues like Katchatheevu and ‘Shakti’ remarks and criticized them for mistreating women. Singling out the DMK for alleged corruption, he claimed the party had the “first copyright” on corruption and accused its leadership, particularly the family of party president and Chief Minister M K Stalin, of looting Tamil Nadu. Modi made these remarks at an election rally in Vellore, urging support for NDA candidates, including BJP nominees, ahead of the April 19th Lok Sabha elections in the state.
