Modi Hails SC Verdict on EVMs, Slams Opposition at Bihar Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at an election rally in Araria Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, characterized the recent Supreme Court judgment on cross-verification of votes as a “tight slap” on the Congress-led opposition, insisting they should apologize for fostering distrust in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He accused the opposition of attempting to “steal” reservations meant for OBCs, SCs, and STs for the sake of their favored Muslim vote bank, alleging that they committed the “sin of creating distrust” against EVMs to perpetuate their old game of booth capture.
