US Dismisses Russian Allegations of Election Interference in India

The United States rejected Russian claims of interfering in India’s elections, emphasizing their non-involvement in electoral processes globally. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller reiterated the US stance, stating that decisions regarding Indian elections are solely for the Indian people. Miller’s response came following Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova’s remarks in Moscow regarding a Washington Post article alleging involvement of a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer in a plot to assassinate Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on US soil last year.
