Rahul Gandhi to Launch Second Round of Campaigning in Odisha with Bolangir Rally, Pledges Comprehensive Guarantees

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is gearing up for his second round of campaigning in Odisha, with a poll rally scheduled in Bolangir on May 15th, organized by the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC). Alongside Lok Sabha and MLAs candidates, Rahul will address the public, preceded by a roadshow, instilling optimism among voters in Western Odisha, as expressed by Samarendra Mishra, the Congress candidate for Bolangir assembly seat. Earlier, on May 3rd, Rahul addressed a virtual rally in Rayagada due to his nomination filing for the Raebareli Lok Sabha seat, emphasizing the All India Congress Committee’s (AICC) guarantees, including farmer loan waivers and increased MSP for paddy. He also pledged job opportunities for graduates, a caste census, 50% reservation for women in job sectors, and a daily wage of ₹400 for MGNREGA beneficiaries, alongside ₹8,500 monthly allowance for women. At a public meeting in Cuttack on April 28th, Rahul criticized the BJP and BJD, likening their alliance to a married couple, and accused them of exploiting Odisha’s natural resources.
