Fatal Ambulance Crash in Kozhikode Claims Life of Patient, Spreads Devastation in Kerala Community

In a tragic incident in Kerala’s Kozhikode, a patient, 57-year-old Sulochana, lost her life after an ambulance carrying her crashed into an electric pole and caught fire around 3:50 am. Sulochana, who was being transferred to MIMS hospital from Malabar Medical College for surgery, was trapped in the vehicle during the blaze. Six others, including Sulochana’s husband, a doctor, two nursing staff, and the ambulance driver, narrowly escaped with injuries. The accident occurred amid heavy rain, causing the ambulance to lose control. Despite efforts by the police and fire department, the vehicle was completely engulfed, with the fire spreading to a nearby building. Sulochana, a dance teacher by profession, leaves behind a devastating loss to her community.
