PM Modi Declares Assets Worth ₹3.02 Crore, Files Nomination in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, filing his nomination in Varanasi, declared total assets worth ₹3.02 crore, devoid of land, house, or car ownership, as per his election affidavit. He listed ₹52,920 cash in hand, ₹2.85 crore in bank deposits, investments in National Savings Certificates, and four gold rings worth ₹2.68 lakh. Modi’s income rose to ₹23.56 lakh in 2022-23 from ₹11.14 lakh in 2018-19, with academic qualifications including bachelor and post-graduate degrees from Delhi and Gujarat universities respectively. Flanked by NDA leaders like BJP president J.P. Nadda and Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, Modi emphasized national progress and regional aspirations in his post-filing statement.
