Hoarding Crash: 73 Damaged Vehicles Retrieved, Debris Removal Ongoing

In Mumbai, a hoarding collapse at a petrol pump in Ghatkopar during gusty winds and heavy unseasonal rains on Monday evening resulted in 16 deaths and 75 injuries. More than 70 vehicles were retrieved from the wreckage, highlighting the severity of the incident. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner Bhushan Gagrani announced the end of a 66-hour search and rescue operation on Thursday morning, though efforts to clear the debris continued for four days. The 120 feet by 120 feet billboard’s collapse trapped numerous people and vehicles under its massive wreckage.
