BJP leader and Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman criticized AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Friday for his “shameful” silence regarding the alleged assault on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at his residence. Campaigning in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar for Harsh Malhotra, Sitharaman expressed shock and surprise at Kejriwal’s lack of response, highlighting that instead of addressing or punishing the alleged perpetrator, Kejriwal was seen publicly with him. She condemned the incident, emphasizing the disgraceful treatment of Maliwal, who previously headed the Delhi Commission for Women.
