Actor Vijay’s TVK to Provide Free Legal Aid with Two Lawyers per Police Station

Actor Vijay’s political outfit Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) announced plans to appoint two lawyers per police station to assist underprivileged citizens with legal matters, aiming to facilitate complaints and offer further legal guidance. The selection process for district-level lawyers is ongoing, with Chennai set to initiate appointments soon. A Chengalpattu district TVK functionary revealed that appointed lawyers will provide free legal aid to impoverished individuals unfamiliar with legal procedures, with the list of advocates to be disclosed post their introductory meeting with party president Vijay. V Sugumar, a Vijay fan and TVK member, commended the initiative, drawing parallels to Vijay’s on-screen portrayal as a helpful lawyer in the film “Tamizhan,” expressing optimism about its impact on disadvantaged individuals seeking solutions at police stations.
