Cyclonic Storm Expected to Hit West Bengal and Bangladesh Coastline on May 26th

The Meteorological centre in Kolkata has announced that a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm by Saturday evening, with a projected landfall on May 26th night along the coasts of West Bengal and Bangladesh. The cyclone is forecasted to bring winds with speeds ranging from 110-120 km per hour, reaching gusts of up to 135 kmph. Additionally, extremely heavy rainfall is anticipated in the coastal districts of West Bengal and northern Odisha on May 26th-27th.
