Karnataka Government to Cover Prime Minister Modi’s Hotel Bills for Mysuru Visit Amidst Dispute Over Costs

The Karnataka government has announced it will cover the ₹80.6 lakh hotel bill incurred during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mysuru in April 2023. The stay at Radisson Blu Plaza was part of the inauguration of the 50 years of Project Tiger event, jointly organized by the National Tiger Conservation Authority and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Disputes arose over the additional expenditure, initially supposed to be covered by the National Conservation of Tiger Authority, leading to a threat of legal action by the hotel if dues were not settled by June 1st, 2024.
