Congress President Kharge Criticizes PM Modi’s Religious Display and Gandhi Remark

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day meditation at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, emphasizing the separation of politics and religion. Kharge stated that practicing faith should be a personal affair conducted at home and criticized the use of public activities for religious displays. He also highlighted concerns about unemployment and inflation, asserting that the people have rejected PM Modi’s leadership. Additionally, Kharge criticized Modi’s comment linking global awareness of Mahatma Gandhi to the 1982 movie ‘Gandhi,’ emphasizing the need to promote Gandhi as the nation’s father and expressing surprise at someone from Gujarat, Gandhi’s home state, lacking awareness of him.
