Heavy Rains and Landslides Hit Kerala After Early Onset of Monsoon

Widespread rains following the early onset of the Southwest Monsoon in Kerala have triggered landslides, uprooted trees, and caused waterlogging in several parts of the state. Kottayam, Idukki, and some areas of Ernakulam have experienced heavy downpours since Friday night. Reports of landslides and uprooted trees emerged from Poochapra and Kolappra areas in the hill district of Idukki.
