Bomb Threat at Chennai Airport Prompts Evacuation of Indigo Flight Passengers

Tension arose at Chennai airport when authorities received a bomb threat for the Chennai-Kolkata Indigo airlines flight scheduled for 8:30 am. Following the threat received by the airline’s office, all 168 passengers were deboarded and the aircraft underwent a thorough inspection by security officials and the Bomb Disposal and Defusal Squad. After over an hour, the threat was deemed a hoax, and passengers were to be accommodated on a separate flight by noon. This incident follows previous hoax threats received by the city airport, YMCA buildings, and even the Governor’s residence.
