DMK Chief MK Stalin to Attend INDIA Bloc Meeting

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief MK Stalin confirmed his attendance at the opposition coalition, the INDIA bloc, meeting scheduled for Wednesday, after missing the last gathering due to illness. The meeting, attended by prominent leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, and Arvind Kejriwal, comes amidst ongoing vote counting. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge affirmed discussions with allies and “new partners” to continue their efforts for people’s rights and democracy, particularly as the BJP failed to secure a majority independently, leading on 239 seats, though the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) approaches 300 seats overall, as per the Election Commission of India.
