INDIA Bloc Sweeps Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Defying Exit Poll Predictions

In a surprising turn of events, the INDIA bloc, led by the DMK, swept Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, winning all 40 seats despite earlier exit polls suggesting gains for the BJP. Even though predictions hinted at BJP securing victories in Tenkasi and Tirunelveli, they lost all contested seats in Tamil Nadu. The alliance’s success came despite the severed ties between BJP and AIADMK and various public disputes. Notably, Coimbatore saw BJP state president K Annamalai lose to DMK’s Ganapathy Rajkumar by a significant margin. The coalition’s victory underscores its dominance, despite earlier projections.
