NCP (SP) Chief Alleges Voter Confusion Due to Similar Symbols in Satara Lok Sabha Seat

In Pune, Maharashtra, NCP (SP) Chief Jayant Patil alleges that the similarity between his party’s poll symbol and that of an independent candidate caused confusion among voters, resulting in the defeat of his party’s nominee in the Satara Lok Sabha seat. Patil stated that symbols with resembling names were seemingly allocated to independent candidates intentionally to split votes, and he intends to address this issue with the Election Commission of India.
