Prime Minister Modi handed over the responsibility of hosting the next G-20 summit to Brazil

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ceremonially transferred the G20 presidency to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Lula da Silva praised India for advocating on behalf of emerging economies’ interests. During the concluding session, Modi handed over the gavel and extended best wishes to Brazil for its upcoming presidency, which officially begins on December 1 this year. On the second day of the G-20 summit in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi handed over leadership to Brazil, highlighting international cooperation on climate, economy, and health.
