The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting heavy rainfall today in 10 districts of Tamil Nadu, including Mayiladuthurai, Nagai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Thenkasi, Nellai, and Kanyakumari. Additionally, it anticipates the formation of a low-pressure area in the south-east and adjoining south-west Bay of Bengal on November 15. From tomorrow to the 16th, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to experience light to moderate rain in several areas. Chennai, while expecting partly cloudy skies for the next 48 hours, may see light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts. Temperature-wise, the maximum is forecasted to reach 32-33 degrees Celsius, with the minimum hovering around Celsius. No specific warnings have been issued for fishermen.
