Karnataka Govt to Provide ₹4 Lakh Compensation, Cover Medical Expenses for Acid Attack Victims

The Karnataka government announced on Tuesday a compensation of ₹4 lakh each to three female students who suffered burns in an acid attack at the Government Pre-University (PU) college in Kadaba, Dakshina Kannada district. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary, Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission (SWC), confirmed during her hospital visit that the families of the students would receive immediate compensation, and the government would cover all their medical expenses.
