PM Modi to Participate in ‘Sashakt Nari Viksit Bharat’ Event at Indian Agricultural Research Institute

PM Modi is set to inaugurate the ‘Sashakt Nari Viksit Bharat’ program at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in the national capital on Monday, aiming to integrate women’s empowerment with technological innovation in agriculture. The event will feature agricultural drones operated by the Namo Drone Didis, selected from 10 locations across India, showcasing the potential of technology in agriculture and empowering rural women. PM Modi will distribute drones to 1,000 Namo Drone Didis, providing economic opportunities and technological tools for rural women. Additionally, the event will highlight initiatives like Namo Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi, with successful beneficiaries of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission being felicitated. Approximately ₹8,000 crore in bank loans will be disbursed to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at subsidized rates, along with ₹2,000 crore allocated as Capitalization Support Fund. The NaMo Drone Didi Initiative aims to train rural women as drone pilots for agricultural purposes, with a goal to equip 15,000 women-led SHGs with agricultural drones, revolutionizing crop monitoring, fertilization, and seeding processes, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive and technologically advanced agricultural development.
